Well, this toyline isn't to be confused with the Ghostbuster cartoon, which featured an ape called Tracey, or the Extreme Ghostbuster, which is a 90s cartoon series. This toyline is based on the movie Ghostbuster, which spawned a whole host of stuff including books and not one, but two cartoon series - The Real Ghostbusters and Slimer.
There are a lot more sites more comprehensive Real Ghostbuster sites out there, so check them out there. This page is about the lesser known Ecto-glow figures. Yes, figures that glowed in the dark!
There were 5 figures in this sub-set. The card art as shown above is nice. The box back showed only Peter and his ghost in the "instructions area" but I guess one can get the picture from it.
Ghostbuster had its own version of slime called Ectoplasm. These came in red, yellow, blue and purple.
The Real Ghostbusters was made by Kenner in the eighties, but is now produced by Hasbro since Kenner has been bought over by Hasbro. The Official site is the Hasbro Site. One of the best fan toy site though is at the Ghostbuster Action Figures Web. Also check out WAK's Ghostbusters Website and his very comprehensive Links page.
